Buffalo Bill’s Wings Recipe


These wings are spicy, and a sure crowd pleaser.


Ingredients:

2 Cups Buttermilk

24 Chicken Drumettes

4 Cups Oil

2/3 Cup Cornmeal

2/3 Cup Unbleached All-Purpose Flour

1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper

1/4 tsp. Onion Powder

1 1/2 tsp. Italian-Style Seasoning

1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder

1 tsp. Salt, coarse

1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

1 Stick Butter, unsalted

1 Cup Hot Pepper Sauce


Directions:

In a large bowl, soak the buttermilk and chicken for 30 minutes.


Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F.


Sift the cornmeal and flour in a medium bowl.  Mix n the cayenne pepper, onion powder, Italian-style seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and powder.  Then dip the chicken into the mixture, and place in the hot oil.


Fry the chicken for 12 to 13 minutes, until it’s golden brown.  Remove the chicken from the oil, and drain onto paper towels.


In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.  Add the hot sauce, and remove from the heat.  Use as a dipping sauce for the wings.


Prep Time: 30 Minutes

Cook Time: 13 Minutes
