Fried Spicy Wings Recipe
This variation on fried chicken is nice and spicy and mouth wateringly good.
Ingredients:
12 Whole Chicken Wings
1 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1 Tbsp. Seasoning Salt
2 tsp. Black Pepper
2 tsp. Poultry Seasoning
2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp. Lemon Pepper
2 Eggs
1 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
2 Tbsp. Hot Sauce
1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp. Black Pepper
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
Vegetable Oil
Directions:
Whisk together red pepper flakes, seasoning salt, black pepper, poultry seasoning, cayenne pepper, and lemon pepper in a small bowl. Save 2 Tbsp. of the mixture in a separate bowl.
Wash chicken in cold water, and cut in half at the joint. Place into a shallow baking dish, and sprinkle the wings with the season. Let them marinate for an hour in the refrigerator.
In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, red pepper flakes, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. In a pie plate, put the flour.
Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 350 degrees F.
Soak the wings into the egg mixture and then cover in the flour. Place the wings into the fryer, 3 at a time, for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain. Sprinkle with the saved pepper seasoning.
